Rope stays till June 3rd! / Seal issue on national TV!
May 13, 2011 – 4:16 pmGood news everybody,
The judge says “The rope protecting the seals stays till the next court hearing on June 3rd”
At May 13th court hearing, judge Lisa Foster ordered the City to keep the rope guideline up at Casa Beach till the next court hearing on June 3rd. The judge asked the City to provide administrative documents supporting the Planning Commission’s decision to block the permit allowing the rope to stay year-round.

The next court hearing is on June 3rd at 1:30 pm, Dept. 60 (Judge Lisa Foster) at 330 W. Broadway St. San Diego
Thank you all you attended the hearing in support of the seals.
La Jolla seal issue received a great national coverage last Thursday. Please watch this online version of the “Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell” broadcasted on HLN, CNN’s Headline News Channel:

Jane covered the issue with great knowledge and passion – we are very grateful for this opportunity to bring the La Jolla seal issue to light.
After you watch the interview on Jane’s show, please send your comments to HLN/CNN about what you thought of the piece, that you are interested to see more animal-related stories from Jane’s show in the future, etc. These comments allow Jane to keep doing these pieces; Jane is an animal activist and vegan journalist, she is one of the very few voices on national mainstream television that covers these types of issues regularly, and she is a strong champion for animals.

I think these anti-seal activists need to find something to do. A job, a hobby, clean up there own yards. What a bunch of total losers waging a war against these gentle creatures.
By Chris on May 13, 2011
I cannot believe these people. Something needs to be done to keep these people away from the seals. There is NO other place for them to go and they are not doing any harm to anyone and there is plenty of beach elsewhere for people to go! I can’t even believe some of the footage I have seen of people actually chasing the seals into the water. They all need to be ticketed and fined for their behavior.
By Ruth on May 14, 2011
The animals are fine. Record number of births this year. It is crazy seal activists raging war an people wanting to simply share and experience time and beach with these animals.
By SealBurgers on May 14, 2011
Oh yea….I am so interested in a point of view from someone named sealburger.
By Chris on May 14, 2011
So what you are saying is that since you can’t think of a valid counter to what I said, you found an excuse to not answer in that you disapprove of a screen name. Tell you what, what name do I have to use in order to get you to respond in a logical fashion?
By SealBurgers on May 15, 2011
What I really want to know is…. what does a SealBurger taste like!? Maybe we could get even more tourist dollars in La Jolla if we started making the world’s greatest burger out of fresh, local, and sustainable seal! If I were you I’d get a copyright on that name…
By Brian on May 15, 2011
I keep hearing “this one beach for seals” does that mean we should remove them from the over 1200 other beaches in California? We we be removing them from the other side of the wall? The beach to the south? What about from seal rock, we gonna remove the seals from there? What about the rookery in Point Loma, we gonna remove them from there? If this is going to be their one beach, we can remove them from all the others with no problem right?
Yea, I thought nobody would want that. Why not just share? With a record number of births this year it is proof that sharing does work.
By SealBurgers on May 15, 2011
I love seeing that SealBurgers is still crying like a bitch on here. Seriously, this douchebag and his butt-buddies hang out at the seal beach EVERY weekend just to whine and complain that this one TINY beach being reserved for wildlife viewing. There are other LARGER and SAFER beaches literally a rocks throw on either side of this thing. But noooo, Sealburger wants to use THIS small beach. Why? Who knows, but Im sure if he ever got this way on this, he’d go back to his usual interests: protesting the civil rights movement, trying to disprove evolution, and shoving Dan Bynes cock up this ass.
Seriously you loser, GET A LIFE!! hahahaha
By Brian on May 16, 2011
Where? The closed south casa beach? Huge ripe tide and a rock reef! Serious injuries have occured there! The cove can’t be used because it is a preserve and no fishing is allowed. When then are these beaches you are talking about? The next beach north is under water at high tide, has strong ripe tides and does not have easy access to the fishing in the kelp.
By SealBurgers on May 16, 2011
Sealburger, give it up, you cannot argue with crazy retarded people like the FOS. Your logic and science will not help you here. That’s crazy talk! Just because you back up your big talking with facts and information does not make you right. Just as a screaming lesbo vegan anchor person can shout out what is news without checking her facts (personally I could care less what your eating habits and sexual orientation are, but will throw it out there for headlines or attention) or getting a scientific opinion from someone who actually has worked in the marine mammal field backing up anything other then what I believe to be true in my little ignorant section of the world.
Yes Sealburger, you are wrong! Just because the rookery in Point Loma will make the Full of Sealshit people no money to file frivolous lawsuits you are wrong. How will Denota pay for her makeovers for interviews? By telling the tourists the truth? No Sealburger, despite the record number of births showing that shared use works, you are still wrong! Even though that this is one of the only safe entry and exit points for diving and people and seals have been using this beach with no problems for the last 80 years, you are wrong.
Wise up Sealburger! Can’t you see how wrong you are?
By Emmet on May 16, 2011
Would it have helped if I yelled it thru a megaphone?
You know what, screw it. I’ll just enjoy my private beach in La Jolla. Dorota, make sure you keep everybody away so that I have plenty of beach to setup my BBQ, Umbrella’s, coolers, towels, and chairs!
By SealBurgers on May 16, 2011
I hope anyone reading these posts sees the argument SealBurgers just tried to make: The only safe beach in all of San Diego for kids to play is this one beach with the seals.
I wonder how many people have read this ridiculous bullshit and then thought “hmm well i dont want to take my family vacation there then’.
And San Diego is supposed to take your side on this “issue”??!?
You wanna know why people are always swimming in the ocean in San Diego (including several beaches in La Jolla)??? BECAUSE ITS SAFE!!
but no, sealburgers would rather deny that any beach is safe except this one because he would have to admit that he’s lied on this point. No one would expect such an extremist dumbfuck to man up and do such a thing. Poor baby…hahahhaaha
By Brian on May 17, 2011
Brian, the only argument I see is one for getting you declared legally mentally handicapped, except that would be insulting mentally handicapped people! Your only comeback is to insult people who present a valid argument with a different point of view. The only person here who is crying like a bitch is you.
You are the problem, you make everyone look bad by you whining little punk tactics. I may not agree with what people say, but will listen to any point of view as long as you can discuss it rationally and back it up with facts.
Sadly, you belittle the cause by whining like the little bitch that you seem to be.
Here is a quote from one of your other posts.
Cyberkick, where have you been? Did you finally get laid from that online ad where youre suckling your moms tit? Did even she laugh at how pathetic you are? Try updating your profile with the following:
Wanted: Single woman who is obsessed with using one tiny beach in La Jolla even though she thinks La JOlla is a dump. Also this woman will like balding 40 year old virgins who still get tucked in by mommy. Men not necessarily discouraged from applying… hell, I’ll take what I can get.
When youre not crying like a bitch in La Jolla, copy and paste the following onto your profile and let me know what kinda luck you have. I’m on your side, bro!
Do you really believe that helps your cause? Try screaming that at the tourist from your illegal booth and see how far it gets you.
Don’t bother to reply, everyone can see you for what you are.
By Emmet on May 18, 2011
Wow, Emmett, I really pissed you off. Thanks for spending all that time researching my earlier posts and then pasting them. They do make me chuckle. I hope you got as much enjoyment from them as I did. So answer the following question:
Is this beach the only safe beach in all of San Diego for kids to play???
By Brian on May 18, 2011
Brian, are you saying this is the only beach seals can use?
Why can’t seals use other beaches? What did they do before this beach was created (remember, this is a mam-made beach. Before the sand was trucked in and the wall built, the entire area was under water)?
By SealBurgers on May 18, 2011
Seriously SealBurger, you actually refused to answer such a simple question!?!?! HAHAHAHA!!!
Yes, seals can use whatever beaches they want. See how easy it was for me to answer your simply “yes or no” question?? Now lets see if YOU can do it.
Sealburgers, Is this the only beach in San Diego where it is safe for kids to play?
(psstt…please continue to avoid giving the obvious answer to this simple question…itll reinforce your laughably extreme view of this whole “debate”…kinda like asking Glenn Beck to admit that Obama was born in the USA)
By Brian on May 19, 2011
Sure, kids can play in sand boxes and playgrounds. However, according to the SD Lifeguard service, this is the SAFEST one for small children. It was built and a lifeguard station installed because the other beaches nearby have much too strong currents and children were drowning and becoming lost.
Since you are okay with answering simple yes no questions. What is wrong with watching the seals at the other 1200 location they use in california? Including right on the other side of the wall.
By SealBurgers on May 19, 2011
On the other side of the wall, you cant see them as clearly or close-up. WHICH IS WHY THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE VISIT THIS SPOT YEARLY TO SEE THE SEALS. Whats that tell you??
I know you could care less about the seals, but what about all the people who are at that beach specifically to view seals? (which is 99% of the people there). Its one thing that youre a douchebag towards animals, but its quite another that you hate PEOPLE so much also.
It must make you feel like a real man to walk onto a beach while hundreds of people are taking pictures of seals, and then scare the seals off, much to the anger of all those people.
And lastly, no lifeguard EVER told you that this is the safest beach for small children. Anyone who has been to La Jolla can see that. But then again, why should I be surprised that youre making up bullshit to support your nutjob views. I bet you think Im being paid to argue with you too, huH?? hahahaha
By Brian on May 20, 2011
Good work Brian, debating with the dumbfuck seal haters. Frankly, they are such dumb shits that it is a considerable burden for me to engage with them at all. They haven’t a clue how to make a logical argument.
So thanks for doing your part, for (probably) keeping them from harassing seals while they are typing their dumbfuck drivel here.
By fsivada on May 20, 2011
There you go lying again. Yep, the lifeguards have told me that. WHat do you mean “can’t see as clearly… There are CLOSER to the wall over there. Have you ever looked. Why the heck do you think more than 1/2 the people on the wall are looking over there? Go look for yourself. Unless you are not local and haven’t even been there.
Before the seals were put there by sea world in the ’90′s there was world class diving there. The park was so packed with people you had to get there early just to find a place to put your towel down. You had to take a shuttle just do get there.
What you are saying is if you go to a beach scream and yell at people who are wearing blue, chasing them away. They you say “look see, nobody is wearing blue… because beach users don’t like blue”.
Same here. Maybe if you stopped yelling at people peacefully using the beach you will see more people there. You really think tourists enjoy watching seals while people are screaming and yelling at people on the beach?
By SealBurgers on May 20, 2011
I’ve got to agree with SealBurgers. There are plenty of seals to see on the other side of the wall. Often they are right up against the wall.
It sounds like brian just wants convenient access to sealviewing. It he glossed right over anything having having to do with the seals themselves. Sounds like he wants to repurpose the park for seal viewing even though others want to use the park for fishing, swimming, playing, sunbahing, bbqing, and socializing. His complaint that the seals are closer so harder to see makes no sense.
By cyberKICK on May 20, 2011
Dan!!! Where have you been, dude!?!?!? Did you ever lose your virginity from that pathetic online ad where you were sucking on your mommy’s tit?? I so hope you did. HAHAHAHAHAA!!!
http://www.datehookup.com/User-104175019.htm
Im confused though. Your interests in that ad dont mention going to the same beach every weekend just to whine like a little bitch. Whats up with that??!?!? LOL!!!
By Brian on May 20, 2011
What does any of that have to do with the debate at hand? You are like a child who lost an argument. What is next? You gonna tell the teacher on him? Maybe make some more crap up?
By SealBurgers on May 20, 2011
That is a good observation. Whenever brian loses an argument he resorts to some sort of profanity or personal attacks. Whatever.
By cyberKICK on May 21, 2011
Brian is an idiot, plain and simple. Which beach is safer, the one with a break wall protecting it with a life guard tower fifty feet away that was built specifically for children, or one that is exposed to the open ocean with rip currents and life guard towers every quarter mile?
Is the Childrens Pool the only safe beach for children? No, but it’s probably the safest beach for children.
I love the seals and seeing and interacting with them in the water. Until the controversy began, this was one of the premier dive sites in the nation to see the seals in the water. It still should be as the seals are doing just fine with shared use, and have been for the last eighty years.
By Emmet on May 21, 2011
I lost an argument?!?!? hahahaha, youre still pissed off over a bunch a seals on a beach, and still resorting to lying to the world and telling everyone that this is the only beach in all of san diego where kids can play…all those kids i saw at the beach today must have been an ILLUSION!!! hahahaha
but seriously, Dan….did you ever lose your virginity from that ad??? come on dude, im here for you if you need some help…for starters, stop crying like a bitch about seals…second, dont ask your mommy for permission before you ask a girl out…women tend to consider these things as lame…hahahaha!!!
By Brian on May 22, 2011
I know of a 14 year old boy who died at Casa Beach, wherein by this I mean he hit his head and basically drowned. He lived in my neighborhood and it was sometime around 1970 or ’71. It was a complete tradgedy and his heart broken parents left the neighborhood in in unmentionable grief a short while later. What these megalomaniacs are suggesting in utter anonymity mind you, is that that seal feces and urine coupled with a permanent rip current as posted by these same Casa Beach Lifeguards, sharp slippery rocks, no stroller access, no playground equipment, not much room for many people in the pool area, a cyclical breakwater swell that forces water to move more quickly on the bottom than on the surface for which I am of the understanding this is one of he few areas in Southern California to have undertow, and then heaven forbid a small child should swim past the Sea wall and become hidden from the lifeguards is safer for babies and small children then let’s say the South La Jolla Shores.
By Andrea Hahn on May 23, 2011
Yea, Brian Meadows, you did lose the argument. You did no rebuttal, only issue personal attacks.
By cyberKICK on May 25, 2011
Dan Byrnes, why would I bother responding to your “points”? You actually claim that this is the only beach in all of San Diego where kids can safely play. And you claim that La Jolla is a dump.
If you think either of those things, then youre insane. Why would I debate that with you. Its like me debating with you whether or not the sky is blue.
Which is why I just prefer to make fun of your loser ass. Seriously, you hate this beach SOOO MUCH, but you spend EVERY weekend there.
And I love how youre now responding to me on here. But when I saw you at the beach, you shyed away from me. What a pussy.
So you never answered my original question: Did you ever get lose your virginity?
By Brian on May 25, 2011
Brian Meadows, you never came to the beach, identified yourself or said anything to me. You are the one hiding from me. You know where I am, yet you never show up. You make up lies, tell yourself stuff and then want me to deal with your insanity. You know there are seals everywhere. You can see them on this beach and many many many others. This is the only man-made beach around. First move out of your house because the cockroaches have chosen it as their home. SAVE THE COCKROACHES!
By cyberKICK on May 25, 2011
I agree with everything brian says
By SDseallover on May 25, 2011
Leave the seals alone. Go play on another beach.
By LT on May 26, 2011
Seriously dude?!?!! Youre actually resorting to lying on here about what happened??? LOL!!!!
Thats great. I love seeing that Ive gotten under your skin so much that now youre resorting to bold-faced lies. Thats wonderful. HAHAHAHA!!!
“My name is Dan Byrnes. I go to a beach that I call a dump on every weekend, just so I can whine about it being reserved for wildlife viewing. In order to justify my insanity, I lie to everyone, including myself, claiming that this is the only beach in all of San Diego where kids can play, and plenty of equally insane claims. But then again, I have to find something to distract myself from the fact that I’m a balding 40-year-old virgin.”
You know what, Dan. I understand. If I was a 40-year-old virgin, Id find something…ANYTHING…to distract myself also. You chose seals. Hey, if it works for you, I understand.
By Brian Meadows on May 27, 2011
Hey everyone, just to show how much of a pussy Dan Byrnes is, watch how he avoids answering this simple yes or no question.
Hey Dan, the savesandiegoseal website…you know, the website you’re on right now…do you want it to cease to exist?
By Brian Meadows on May 27, 2011
Dan, you’re such an idot. You aren’t half the man Brian is. He’s just not coming down to the beach because he’s so manly he would kick your ass al over the sand and then you would look bad and he doesn’t want people to realize how manly he is because then he wouldn’t be like undercover and all that stuff. Brian is like a superhero disguised as a regular person. He just pretends to not be man enough to show up there like a real man would because he can’t give away his real identity. If he didn’t hide behind a screen like a coward everybody would know how manly he really is.
By Jimbo on May 27, 2011
His real identity is Brian Meadows… He keeps claiming I’ve been hiding from him. I’m not. I am easy to find. He is the one who is trying to hide. I have always been happy to share any of the facts regarding this. Including other spots about 100 ft away. I’ve swam with the seals, etc. Have you?

I’m a whining bitch who is afraid to meet people face to face. My name is Brian Meadows and I’m a cowardly piece of shit who has nothing better to do than hide behind this web site and try to make fun of other people for my own amusement because my only friend is a seal dick.
By Brian on May 27, 2011
Finally you told the truth… to be honest I didn’t think you had it in you.
By cyberKICK on May 27, 2011

Thanks dude for letting me know how much I’ve gotten to you!

By Brian on May 31, 2011
My name is Brian Meadows and I still suckle on my mom’s teet and it makes me feel just fine, especially with that seal dick in my ass. Oopsie poopsie.
By Brian on Jun 2, 2011
I spend every weekend hanging out at a beach that I call “a dump”.
I spread lies on the internet and cost the city of San Diego untold thousands of dollars in tourism revenue by claiming that theres only one beach where kids can play and its overtaken by seals.
I get some sort of sick joy by pissing off hundreds of tourists every weekend who are at this beach just to see seals by scaring away the seals.
I’ve never been laid and place pathetic ads online to try and get girls to talk to me.
The main difference between Brian and me is this: When I talk shit about him, I’m making shit up to try and win an argument. However, Everything listed above about me is ACTUALLY TRUE. And I probably wonder why I cant get laid…
By cyberKick on Jun 3, 2011
Hey sealfagger, do you still claim that all business owners in La Jolla who support this beach being reserved for seals were all “bullied by the media into saying that”?
LOL!!
